Choosing the right help
Start with the symptom, not a guess
Tell Elliott where the vehicle is, what it is doing, whether anyone is in danger, and what equipment or supplies you have. A direct conversation can clarify whether a common roadside service is reasonable or whether the vehicle may need towing, mechanical repair, a locksmith, or emergency assistance.
Roadside service depends on a safe work location. Traffic, weather, vehicle position, garage or gate access, and the condition of the vehicle can affect whether work can be performed where it sits.
Common roadside requests
Four ways Elliott may be able to help
Battery jump starts
A jump-start request may fit when a weak battery is the likely problem. A jump cannot repair a failed battery, alternator, starter, damaged cable, or another mechanical issue. Share what happens when you turn the key or press the start button.
Roadside tire changes
Tire-change assistance requires a usable spare and a location where the work can be performed safely. Tell Elliott whether you have the spare, wheel-lock key, and lug hardware, and whether the vehicle is on stable ground.
Fuel delivery
Fuel-delivery requests may fit when a vehicle runs out within the service area. Confirm the fuel type and exact location. If the vehicle does not start after fuel is added, another service may be necessary.
Vehicle unlock requests
Unlock requests are reviewed using the vehicle, location, access, and authorization details. Certain vehicles or security systems may require a locksmith, manufacturer, or model-specific assistance.
Details to share
Make the first call more useful
- Your location, nearest cross street, parking area, or landmark
- Vehicle year, make, model, and where it is positioned
- What happened and what the vehicle does now
- For a tire: whether the spare and wheel-lock key are present
- For fuel: the required fuel type
- Any traffic, weather, gate, garage, or safety concern
When roadside help is not enough
The vehicle may still need towing
A jump start, added fuel, or tire change addresses one immediate condition; it does not diagnose or repair unrelated mechanical problems. If the vehicle remains unsafe or cannot be driven, discuss light-duty towing in Virginia Beach. Elliott can review the destination, vehicle condition, access, quote, and current timing before dispatch.
Area and availability
Virginia Beach is the primary service area
Published request hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 AM the following morning and Saturday from 7:00 AM to midnight. Sunday and configured major holidays are unavailable. Current workload and conditions still affect availability. See the complete service-area details.
Roadside questions
Before requesting assistance
What roadside services does Elliott's Towing offer?
Published roadside services include jump-start, tire-change, fuel-delivery, and vehicle-unlock requests for common passenger vehicles, subject to location, safety, equipment fit, and current availability.
Do I need a tow if my car will not start?
Not always. A weak battery may respond to a jump start, but a failed battery, alternator, starter, damaged cable, or another mechanical problem may require towing or repair.
Can Elliott change a tire without my spare?
The published tire-change service assumes the vehicle has a usable spare. Call with the tire and vehicle details so Elliott can explain what is possible.
Is roadside assistance available 24 hours?
No. Published request hours are Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 3 AM the following morning and Saturday from 7 AM to midnight. Sunday and configured major holidays are unavailable.
